Our Story
The 106 Group was founded in 1992 on the principles of integrity, reliability, creativity, and hard work. Now, as a nationally recognized leader in cultural and environmental planning, resource management, interpretation, and design, we remain committed to those roots with the capacity and talent to serve communities and businesses throughout the nation and the world.
With offices in Minnesota and DC and field teams throughout the country, the 106 Group has more than 20 core staff, most of whom hold advanced graduate degrees in their respective fields. We are motivated by personal and professional commitments to inspire stewardship of the historical, cultural, and natural resources within the communities we serve. We demonstrate this commitment by bridging differences between cultural groups, fostering and facilitating active public outreach, and developing a shared understanding of the unique and special resources of the places we work.
