Managing cultural risk

We are a one-stop-shop for your cultural resources needs. Whether you need surveys to identify historic, archaeological, and cultural resources; facilitation of treaty rights issues and collaboration with Native American tribes; or preparation of programmatic agreements; we can help manage the cultural risk of your proposed project.

106 Group Approach: Cultural resources compliance is both art and science. Part of that “art” is our ability to build and maintain critical relationships with regulators. Using our knowledge of the legal and agency requirements, we provide consultation support with regulatory agencies including the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, and State.

Experience: We have extensive experience supporting our clients with compliance needs associated with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Our project experience includes work with Minnesota Steel Industries, Itasca County Regional Rail Authority, NorthMet, Mesabi Nugget, Iron Range Community Comprehensive Plan, and Twin Metals Minnesota.
