Making the past present

HOW WE CAN HELP:

Today, people’s connection to culture, land, nature, and community are often lacking. We sometimes cannot imagine the prairie before the metropolis, the wheat before the bread, or the world before our parents. We work with you to uncover the unique and powerful stories of your special place.

106 GROUP APPROACH:

Place-based interpretation seeks to “re-story” places, revealing the connections between social and natural systems distinctive to each site. Our interdisciplinary approach is rooted in the belief that places matter and that visitors want to engage authentically with their surroundings.

EXPERIENCE:

Our team of historians, archaeologists, designers, and writers has extensive experience illuminating the cultural, historical, and natural resources of a place. We convey our discoveries through interpretive planning, exhibits, and waysides throughout the country.
